Viruse are not living beings
by: Anonymous

Viruses are not living beings. Life is normally defined as requiring reproduction, consumption (eating or similar) and excretion*. Viruses don't do all those things. They do contain either DNA or RNA so are borderline of living organisms, but most biologists don't consider them alive.
