Very good question.

Our body produces proteins for its own metabolism and formation and renewal of tissues and organs. These proteins are highly specific, such as insulin, hemoglobin, and many others. These specific proteins are not found in food, therefore, it is necessary to break down other proteins from food into amino acids and get the recipe from DNA and RNA to synthesize those that we need.
