Is it a kind of reflex?

Why we cry when sad

There are three different kinds: the kind we cry when sad, the kind we cry when our eye is irritated by dust or something like that the kind that lubricate our eyes. The main reason we cry when we are sad is that the type of tears we cry when sad contain a certain hormone. When we cry, we remove that hormone from our body via tears to help us stave off depression. That's why people often feel better after having a good cry about something
