vaccines vs antibiotics

I think a main difference is that most viruses if they can be treated beyond symptomatic drug therapy are treated with a vaccine either preexposure or post. Bacterial infections often are treated with antibiotics or antitoxin drugs. Both virus and bacterial infections are controlled with sanitation and symptomatic therapy.
