Light energy from the sun is transformed into chemical energy through the process of photosynthesis.This process is divided into two phases:light phase and dark phase. In light phase, water is split into hydrogen and oxygen and this called photolysis, in here oxygen is lost. Hydrogen reacts with carbon dioxide in dark phases, forming highly energetic glucose molecules.
