Why solving protein structure is important?
I am studying unknown lipoproteins from a human pathogen.It is considered as a potential virulence factors.I am working in a lab which does X-ray crystallography. My part is getting protein crystals. But, I really want to have rationales.
Why solving protein structure is so important?
